Braemar Mountaincraft has been set up to provide both the visitor and local, individual and group the opportunity of enjoying the outdoors in a safe manner at all times of the year. Skills learned will help in walking and climbing further afield whilst First Aid Courses can be used for day-to-day work or that foreign trip you've always talked about.

Safety is of prime importance and all instructors are qualified and experienced with several having extensive climbing and first aid backgrounds. I have worked (and played) in the hills all my life with over 30 years experience in the Cairngorms and Europe, involved with expeditions to Greenland, Iceland, Norway and the Himalayas. Since 1985 have been an active Mountain Rescuer on the Deeside hills and have seen the outcome of "inexperience" both at home and abroad. "

A quality experience along with value for money, whilst enhancing in the broadest sense the experience of our client is our aim". Whilst ensuring a learning experience my own Environmental/ Conservation background (I have volunteered and worked as a Ranger for over twenty years) ensures that little bit extra is provided.

Since 1976 First Aid has been a part of my life and holding teaching and assessment qualifications, Senior Instructor Certificates along with completion of both Advanced Cardiac Life and Advanced Trauma Life Courses gives a unique background for the outdoors. Along with First Aid Matters we specialise in providing courses tailored to your needs for the workplace (HSE approved), the outdoors, at home or at play. Have a look around the site, get in touch and come and enjoy yourself.
